Toronto installs are a category of their own. Downtown, most of our work is in condo towers with concrete and steel-stud walls, strict building rules and tight elevator windows. In the older neighbourhoods, it’s Victorian and Edwardian homes with plaster and double brick. Both need experience, and both are routine for us.

TV mounting across Toronto

Downtown condos. CityPlace, Liberty Village, the waterfront, King West and Yonge Street towers usually have steel studs inside the unit and concrete on exterior and demising walls. We use the right anchors for each, keep concrete drilling short and within permitted hours, and use paintable raceways where buildings don’t allow opening walls. Ceilings are typically post-tensioned concrete and are not drilled without approval.

Lofts and exposed brick. Converted lofts have beautiful brick walls that need careful masonry drilling, and often no good place to hide cables. We plan discreet routes that suit the space.

Victorian and Edwardian homes. In neighbourhoods like Leslieville, the Annex and Roncesvalles, plaster over lath and brick are common. We pre-drill to protect the plaster and locate solid fixing points.

Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough. Detached homes and bungalows with finished basements, fireplaces and room for home theaters.

Can you mount a TV on a concrete wall in my Toronto condo?

Yes. We hammer-drill and use concrete anchors rated for your TV. Drilling is brief and done within your building’s permitted hours.

Can I hide the wires in a condo?

In steel-stud walls, often yes. On concrete, or where your building doesn’t allow opening walls, we use a slim paintable raceway.

Do you mount TVs on exposed brick in lofts?

Yes. We drill into the brick rather than the mortar and use masonry anchors. Cable routes are planned to be as discreet as possible.
