TV Wire Concealment & In-Wall Cable Hiding
The difference between a TV on the wall and a TV that looks built in. We run power and HDMI inside the wall safely, or under a slim cover where in-wall isn't possible.

Nothing ruins a beautifully mounted TV faster than a bundle of black cables hanging below it. Wire concealment moves the power, HDMI, optical and network cables out of sight, so the only thing on the wall is the screen.

Two ways to hide TV wires
In-wall concealment
Best for drywall on wood or steel studs. We cut two small openings, one behind the TV and one near your devices or outlet, and run the cables inside the wall cavity. For power, we use an in-wall power kit made for this purpose rather than pushing the TV’s power cord through the wall, which electrical codes do not allow. The result is a completely clean wall with neat plates at each end.
On-wall cable covers
Best for brick, stone, concrete, condo walls and fireplaces, or where you’d rather not open the wall. We fit a slim, low-profile raceway that runs from the TV down to your devices. It’s paintable, so once it’s painted the same colour as your wall it almost disappears.
What’s included
- Assessment of the wall cavity, studs, fire blocks and insulation
- In-wall power kit or paintable raceway, matched to your wall
- HDMI, optical, ethernet and speaker cables routed and labelled
- Clean cut-outs with brush or recessed plates
- Soundbar, console and streaming device cables tidied at the shelf
- Final testing of every connection
- Dust controlled and cleaned up
Things we check before cutting
Exterior walls often have insulation and vapour barriers, and some walls have a horizontal fire block halfway up. We locate these first and plan the route around them. If there’s a reason a wall shouldn’t be opened, such as plumbing, ductwork or a fire separation in a condo, we’ll explain why and recommend the covered option instead.
Pair it with a new mount
Wire concealment is usually done at the same time as TV wall mounting, so the openings sit perfectly behind the screen. If your TV is already on the wall, we can take it down, conceal the wires and remount it in the same visit.

Wire concealment FAQs
Is it safe to run a TV power cord inside the wall?
Not the TV’s regular power cord. Electrical codes don’t allow standard appliance cords inside walls. We use an in-wall power kit designed to bring power to the TV location safely, which is the approach we recommend for every in-wall install.
Can you hide wires on a brick or concrete wall?
Yes, with a slim surface raceway. Cutting channels into brick or concrete is messy and rarely worth it, so a paintable cover is the practical choice.
Will there be holes or damage to my wall?
In-wall concealment needs two small openings, which are covered by neat wall plates. There’s no patching or painting needed afterwards in a normal install.
Can you hide wires for a TV that’s already mounted?
Yes. We remove the TV, run the cables inside the wall, then remount the TV and reconnect everything.
Can you hide the wires above a fireplace?
It depends on the fireplace construction. On drywall chimney chases we can often run cables inside; on stone or brick we use a discreet cover along the edge of the fireplace.
